SupaFly

A tune apparently by Kevin O'Neill. I heard it quite a lot in Folkworks this year, then learnt it from this video with Brian Finnegan, Ian Stephenson and Jim Goodwin (this tune starts at about 5:03): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4k6_1B2WwwM
The transcription I wrote is not quite the same as what Brian plays in the vid, but rather what I play, seeing as I'm a fiddler more than a whistler.

I love the name, don't you? :-)

Superfly

Great, great tune - but - Brilliant as he is, it's not fair on the composer of a new tune to put up Brian Finnegan's version as the first public transcription.

This is Kevins original version.

Superfly

Ignore the repeat sign on the 2nd timing of the 2nd part of course.

Might the first part be a variation of this old chestnut?

Can't hear the similarity myself

Actually, if you read my transcription, I did not put up Brian Finnegan's version, I put up my own version! I just put up Brian's version as the only video of it I could find. And hey, this is folk music, it changes!
Thanks for putting Kevin's version up though.

Sorry Joe, but that makes it even more out of order as far as I'm concerned.
