I hope this .abc works &c. for it is the first tune I have submitted in this format. (Can I add an image of the score somehow?)

This is the tune as "The Complete Works of O'Carolan" gives it. I remember that there are some differences to the version I used to play many years ago on Celtic harp. But I cannot remember them, so here I stick to the work cited.

The abc will be made also into sheet music soon, but you'll have to wait a bit. I'm curious to know about the part that says the meter is 1/8, how would you count that? Or was that a mistake?

The (former) 1/8 should be an upbeat. After playing around with the data for a bit I think that the mistake should now be fixed.

Major, as it resolves best on that tonic, not G Mixolydian, but C Major, consequently D Major in the given transposition. Here are ways of resolving both parts to show the Major in this ~
