Jimmy McHugh's
This comes from one of Bulmer & Sharpley's books. Jimmy was a great fiddler from Co.Tyrone originally, but lived most of his life in Glasgow. He was one of the first All-Ireland Fleadh winners, becoming Senior All-Ireland fiddle champion in 1957, I think. I am only aware of 1 recording of this tune, played by Michael Rooney on harp, and I think it deserves to be better-known. I first heard it in 1994 at the Fleadh in Clonmel. It was played on harp, in the 16-18 competition, I think by one of "Ptarmigan's" music students. It was only years later that I found out it was one of Jimmy's compositions. A very haunting tune. Posted here in his memory. RIP, Jimmy.

One of two
This is tune #63 in book 4 of Bulmer and Sharpley's 'Music from Ireland', and is listed by Alan Ng at
http://www.irishtune.info/tune/4863/
with a citation of a 2000 recording.
There is also another fine jig (this one in E dorian) written by Jimmy McHugh that appears as tune #58 in the same B&S book and is indexed at
