The Diamond Rock (Joe Liddy, composer)
I unearthed this wonderful reel whilst thumbing through "The Leitrim Fiddler- 103 tunes composed by Joe Liddy" (published
by Comhaltas; unsure if they are still putting this out). The 2nd part is especially hypnotic! This tune sits quite well alongside
"Palmer's Gate" (perhaps Mr. Liddy's most well- known composition). Some feedback on this would be welcome; I'm
kind of mystified as to why a tune this nice seems to have been passed over (other than, say, nobody having a copy of the book!).
