Of course it's not a hornpipe. Is it a Dans Plinn?

This tune is a Breton gavotte !
You could name it "Breton gavotte" in order to be a little more precise, or even "ton doubl gavotte" indeed, (= last part of the dance). This one used to be played not by the usual couple biniou-bombarde, but by chromatic accordion player Yves Menez, who may have composed it in the 1930's or 1940's. In the original tune in A minor, you have to play F# and G# in the first part. F and G are natural in the second and the third parts of the tune.
