This is an absolutely STONKING tune!

Using my MP3 player with its microphone I recorded this at a session this Wednesday and had a go at transcribing it. There is also a video with it being played by a superb group of musicians: Grace Kelly, Mike McGoldrick, Emma Sweeney, John Joe Kelly and others at St Kentigern's annual charity concert back in 2007. It starts at about 00:54.

I love the lilting B part to this tune very much. I hope you like it too. I asked Grace what the name of it was but she didn't have a name for it. Maybe someone on here knows it? I really hope that it hasn't been posted before.

It's a good tune you right, but you should quickly remove the double bars you've put in bad places, which makes the midi stop at the end of the first part.

(last bar 1st part, and 1st and last bar 2nd part. + the 2 dots 1st bar 1st part) :-)

Sounds like Lark In The Morning to me.

Many thanks Protz! That had been happening all the time on Concertina and I couldn't work out why!

Jiml, the tune before this one on that vid does indeed sound like Lark in the Morning, this one is the second one they play after that!

I've just found another video on which this tune is being played...and it's minus the whooping and cheering from the audience plus the sound quality is far better...enjoy!
