Half-Way to Kerry
Dare I say it? A bodhran player could probably add something by way of a good rhythm accompaniment to this tune.
Set suggestion: play with "the Brosna" and/or "O'keefe's".

Half-Way to Kerry
Hi Hetty -
I would be tempting to say: "From Kerry" ....
... but honestly, I don't actually know.
Over the years, one picks up many tunes from sessions etc. Sometimes, when you ask even for the name of a tune that someone has just played, the person that played it either can't (or won't) tell you.
So those circumstances, it would never occur to me to ask someone the origin of their tune. Maybe I should, but I still reckon that I would be lucky to get a sensible answer ...!
