Shetland Jumper

This is a beautiful little jig written by Boston mandolin/guitar whiz and Berklee College of Music prof John McGann. It can be found on his 1995 solo album "Upslide" which was put out on Green Linnet. John played guitar on a great Celtic Fiddle Festival album from 1992 with Kevin Burke, Johnny Cunningham, and Christian LeMaitre.

I've been playing this tune for years and decided it should meet a wider audience.

The upper octave stuff in the B section will be a bit tricky for flutes and fiddles, but is a great workout for fretted instruments!

And John did give permission for this tune to be uploaded! A reminder that it's © 1987 John McGann Arbor Vitae/ASCAP.

Cheers...

Notation tweak

The sheet music image isn't quite clear in one spot.

In the third bar of the A section second ending. the first note should be high E (e') with three ledger lines. It sort of comes out looking like a D.
