Previously submitted but...
I've danced the Upton-on-Severn Stick Dance many times and the previous submission by Mix O'Lydian is not the same tune I danced to. Thus, the version I know and love.

Just a different setting
Whilst I would in no way wish to malign the version that you have just submitted, in no way can it said to be a "different" tune - it is just a different setting of the same tune.
If you have a different setting of a tune already in the db, the correct procedure is submit your abc in the comments section of the original submission - rather than making a completely new submission.
Jeremy is normally quite strict about this, but for some reason, this one seems to have slipped through the net.

The other Upton-on-Severn tune
The tune here is the one generally danced to by, as far as I understand, all Morris sides but many years ago I was told that it was not the original tune but one adopted for the dance.
Could this one http://www.thesession.org/tunes/display/8712 therefore be the original tune I wonder?
Any one know?

Consistency
I don't think it actually matters which tune is "original" or which version is your personal preference.
What does matter is consistency within thesession tune tb. These aren't two different tunes - they are just two different settings of the same tune.
This being the case, under Jeremy's own rules, a second entry should have been disallowed (as has happened in other similar instances).

Session.org "Rules"
Live and learn I suppose...I'm sorry I haven't memorized or otherwise absorbed by osmosis "Jeremy's Rules of Order and Procedure" or whatever it that the culture here runs by. Unlike some folks I don't really live here much. I just drop by very occasionally. Likely I will make even more faux pas relative to the order of things at session.org as time goes by. Please do keep in mind that I mean well.
