I would have also transcribed the Gallowglass Ceili Band's take on this, but we haven't currently got access to that recording... Here' s hoping someone out there does and will...

Surprised this is not here already - common 'beginner's' whistle tune in SE Ireland - like Roddy McCorley etc. - played as a march. All the little kids do be playing it!

I was surprised too...
I won't be if someone suddenly flags up 'duplication', but I did a search in three keys and with several possibilities. I guess, for the sake of others, I'd probably better also add a simple take on it in G, as a balance to my bit of fun in the transcription...
As always happens with 'beginner' tunes, the sometimes never get past that, consequently the real fun that is there is seldom enjoyed. Marches are a kick, good fun to play and good fun to dance to...and while good for the developing musician, their ability to inform and excite are not limited to 'beginning', in my opinion...
