Dillon's Fancy
Learnt off Kevin Crawford's 'D' Flute Album. It is sometimes confused with "Fisherman's Farewell" on the same recording, but they are distinct tunes with similar openings. According to Fiddler's Companion, it appears on several different tune collections, including O'Neill's. And it seems to be a quite old tune which used to be played in various parts of Ireland, from Roscommon to Sliabh Luachra.

Dillon's Fancy
So, does anybody occasionally hear this tune played in the local sessions? Or is it almost forgotten?

I can't believe this wasn't already here. Don't hear it so much in sessions these days but I'm pretty sure a lot of people know the tune, its a nice one. Great on any instrument.

Ginny's Favourite...
is the name of the tune listed on John McGreevey and Seamus Cooley's self-titled duet recording. Sorry, no info about the tune.

Ginny's Fave
The McGreevy & Cooley album cover says the tune comes from the repertoire of the Tulla Ceili Band, and is named on this recording for one of Seamus Cooley's sisters.
