Mama's Pet - the jig!

This tune is on Cathal McConnell's 'Long Expectant Comes At Last', and it follows Big John's Hard Jig. Features Cathal on flute with lovely bouncy guitar by John Doyle.

The liner notes say that Mama's Pet came from Sean MacAloon, a piper and fiddler from Altawalk, Roslea, Co. Fermanagh, and apparently there's a song connected with this jig about a man who tires to get away from his wife by going over to Scotland.
