Port an Puca
This is my current favourite tune, learnt off John Blake, Lamond Gillespie, and Mick Leahy's second trio album. They inform that the jig appears on the Joyce Collection and that 19th century Galway piper Paddy Conneely is cited as the source there. A bit of research shows that it's also on the O'Neill (no.319). A little different and less playable too.

Angelina Carberry plays a lovely version of this tune with her father on Memories from the Holla. Thanks for submitting it slainte.

I was thinking that John Blake learnt this jig from the Carberrys. Paddy, is this basically the same version they recorded? And could you inform where they got it?
