This is one of my own tunes, it's on my little site of tunes I've written, but I decided to put it up here because I personally consider it one of my better tunes. I did put five tunes on here first, so I think I can put it here, unless no one likes it. Please do tell me your thoughts.

That is, another five tunes.

Opinions anybody?

I think I'd like it better with a bit of tinkering. Especially repeated notes where the melody seems to stall. Here's a first approximation to what I might do with it. Changes are in bars A4, A8 2nd ending, B1, B2, B4, B5, B6 and B8 1st ending. I hope I didn't spill the juice!

Gary - Should that 2nd note in bar B6 of your version be a "B" rather than a "b"?

No, I like the contrast of using the high b the second time. (Actually, I thought of the high b first, and then changed the one in bar B2 to a low B for the contrast.)

Personally, I kind of like it the way I have it more, but whatever sounds good to you you do. I wrote it as an easy tune for the mandolin. The title, by the way, came from when I was trying to come up with a name for it, my little brother spilled juice all over the floor, so I just called it this.

To my ears, Part B has real drive and life to it. It's exciting, different, and makes me feel like dancing. Part A not so.

I find the first part distressingly similar to 'The Tongs by the Fire' and the second part just sounds forced to me.

Oh wow, that really does... This happens to me a lot, and I had never heard that tune before in my life... The B part might be a little bit, because I didn't write it on the instrument, but instead the way I tend to write or finish a lot of tunes, that is, on a MIDI program...
