Jiggery Pokerwork
This is a lovely jig written by the English melodeon player John Spiers. It was written as a tribute to the melodeon he started on, and recorded on his album with Jon Boden, 'Bellow'.

Nice tricksy little tune!
I've not heard a recording. Can somebody who has tell me whether the B music is really 2 x (| 5/8 | 7/8 | 6/8 | 6/8 |), rather than 8 x | 6/8 | as written?
(Doesn't make much difference to a solo perf, I guess, but once somebody is playing chords it does.)

µ - I'd go with keeping the 6/8 all the way through the B part in written form, although John Spiers does accent the last last beat of the first bar as you may have guessed.
BTW the ABC is correct (or at least what I make it vs. the recording on the Bellow CD) but the sheet music attached here seems to be a bit different in the B section for some reason...
Also to add some confusion, John Spiers seems not to be that consistent where A sharps and flats appear through the playing of the B part, so it's probably open to interpretation (or if you're playing fiddle, how faffed you are in cooking up that number of B-A#-B progressions...)
- Cap'n.
