Final part of the Grania's Welcome Home set, see part 1 for details. Apparently, part 2 (The Jig) was removed because it was a duplicate: http://www.thesession.org/tunes/display/2637

I read it was John Doherty who first recorded the set.

In "The Northern Fiddler" there's a transcription of all John Doherty's rendition of all three versions of this tune--march, jig, and reel.

Anyone know who Grainne/Grania was?

I was guessing it referred to Grace O Malley / Grainne ni Maille: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grace_O%27_Malley

Anyone able to shed some light?
