This tune goes nicely with Ashmolean House following it.

Variant in G

Here is a G major variant of this tune. It has a different feel to the Dmix version but I don't think it is quite sufficiently different to merit a submission as a separate tune. This variant comes from an old New England collection of fiddle music.

This appears to be related to the Kilfenora Jig http://www.thesession.org/tunes/display.php/779, which (significantly) appears as the "Chorus Jig" in some old manuscripts.

The Cross Reel

A close variant of this tune is played in Shetland as The Cross Reel - I'm sure it's on one of the "Da Silver Bow" albums played by Aly Bain and others. Also in Tom Anderson's collection Ringing Strings.

The Chorus Reel

Closely related to "Within a Mile of Dublin": http://www.thesession.org/tunes/display/125

I need to learn this someday, but there are too many variants to learn and play.

For example, have a look at these tunes:
Tinkerman's Wife: http://www.thesession.org/tunes/display/4944
Four Courts: http://www.thesession.org/tunes/display.php/2278
