This is one of my compositions, and is named in honor of the (Michigan) traffic jam it was written in.

Not bad but...
Ok... now lay the trad. on us. The rule is 5 trad. tunes for every original... (this is your first submission.) Share with us your traditional music... heck, people have been posting Scottish, Canadian, Northumbrian.... lots of options.
see the FAQ

Can I submit my own compositions?
Well... The Session isn't really intended for that. If you do post one of your own compositions, then you must do your "penance", so to speak, by balancing each original composition with about five trad tunes.

This is a nice tune, right enough, apart from the 2nd time part endings which don't hang together very well imo.

Actually the part endings 1st and 2nd time. Apart from that it's lovely.

You can submit non-Irish tunes for your "penance" now? And here I wasn't posting my own tunes because of the difficulty of finding large quantities of Irish tunes that haven't already been posted here. I'm pretty sure I know dozens of Canadian tunes which haven't been posted yet....

There are still many good Irish tunes not yet on the database.

this is a nice tune, a composition it may well be, but so firmly rooted and akin to the rest of itm and so readily 'incorporable' I believe it should be counted right in.
Is it yet/de facto the common 'property' of session musicians?
This could be another criterium...

sorry I meant 'criterion' (criterium's dutch)
