Thanks C. - a fun tune we play in our rather mixed up sessions. very english :-) , but then I thought Church St. Polka was archetypically (ap?) english as well, and that's on the board as Memories of Ballymote.

Disappointed

I AM disappointed 'c' I was hoping for another 48 bar.

I play this with a 'd' as the last note in bar 1 of the 'B' music which is then patterned in bar two. Makes for a nice 'step down' from bar 1 to bar 2, if you get my meaning. The same again in bar 5.

48 bars ~ & a look in on digital hell ~

Well, that is not beyond my means... 8-) It means more transcribing to get such things right, rather than trusting my brain cells completely. I have a special fondness for 48 bars and have even collected the like in dance and in Eire, including longways duple figure dances...which are among our favourites...

We are still caught up in a badly misbehaving computer, mostly due to software but also in need of more PC800-40, ECC, RDRAM... It's a self-build. I've just spent over 24 hours delving deep into the digital bowels of this one, including disassembly and reassembly and hard drive switching in order to cure a recent crash. It was that corrupted due to weird shutdown I couldn't even open it in Safe mode. A lot of these glitches can be traced to Windows of course, and its difficulty in juggling multiple programs and demands. I also have a large Maxtor drive (now owned by Seagate), and another large external drive for additional backup, and with the pain of all that was lost last year ~ tons of audio files, digitized and edited and cleaned up, music and oral tradition, and transcriptions, and ~ lots to do with our shared passions, I'm building up as much backup as I can before redoing everything yet again. :-/

So, dear hetty, why not a full transcription of this with your subtle ways woven in from that squeeze of yours, rather than just a couple of tempting notes worth?
