The Market Day
Composed by Ed Reavy. I learnt it from a friend ages ago under the wrong title, and have taught it to some musicians in Sydney in the past few weeks. It's quite an easy tune to pick up, so now lots of people are playing it here. Hope you enjoy it.

Stay For Another While
Apparently this is considered a piping standard since Seamus Ennis recorded it under the title of Stay For Another While. The liner notes explain that Stay For Another One is an alternative title http://www.taramusic.com/sleevenotes/cd10029.htm. However, Ed Reavy was composing tunes from the 1930s, so that's plenty of time for a tune to acquire other titles. This one doesn't seem to be in any earlier sources like O'Neill's. Henrik Norbeck's index has it listed as Dark Girl In Blue, but I don't know where that title comes from originally.

Angelina Carberry and Martin Quinn
They recorded the tune as "The Fairhaired Girl." It sounds like a very old tune and I'd be interested to know some sources which say it was composed by Ed Reavy.

I have Reavy's book, but I'm not sure this is in it. Ed's son produced a 4 cassette tape set with { nearly ? } all of his tunes on them. Friends of mine have the tapes - I'll do some checking.
