Megumi's Gift
Megumi Suzuki was a Japanese student living in South Australia. Her life was tragically cut short in 2001. I wrote this tune in her memory, I thought I was writing an Irish reel, but when it came out it definately sounded Japanese. I have recorded this tune on my CD "Piper's Dream"
I play it as a slow reel and I think it sounds best this way. I follow it with a traditional Japanese tune Sakura.

Megumi's gift
I loved this tune. Definitely japanese sounding. It was the name of this tune that I spotted while searching the net for a new instrument that lead me to this site. I've only just signed up, and intend (when I've figured out how) to submit a tune I wrote last night after being inspired by yours. I haven't written any tunes since I was a teenager! Thanks for the inspiration. I'm gonna check up on more of your tunes when I get chance.
