This is not actually a reel. It should be played at roughly half reel speed at, say, 60 half notes per minute. On his CD "Better Already" Ben Sands leads of on mandolin accompanied by guitar. On the second run a fiddle comes in. Later box, pipes and whistle join so that by the third run, with harmonies, the tune builds up to a nice climax.
The tune is in celebration of a town in Ireland gaining city status, but I can't remember which one and I can't find my copy of the CD - I must have lent it to someone.

The new city is likely the former Newry Town in good oul' Northern Ireland.

Yup, I knew it was in the north. I just don't like the word "Northern" in front of the word "Ireland" (although "northern" is OK).
