Ashes Jig
Leads itself to a fast tempo, but still plenty of room for embellishment. I often use an A grace note to break up the repetetive B's. Usually, I start a set with it, then Jump at the Sun, and then the Coleraine Jig.

Updated original ABC
Apologies, I didn't get the ABC notation quite right first time round. I think I've got it nailed now.

Ashes
lovely jig, goes really nicely after 'lark in the morning' and then into Coleraine Jig.

Key of Ashes
The key should be either E minor or E dorian, although the absence of any C sharps and a strong resolution to E suggests E minor.

E minor
For passing notes C natural is the best fit...

C natural as best fit
I don't disagree ceolachan - I had noticed that the Details described the song as being in D major, when the key should be E minor. I can't understand why it's been given a D major key sig. when there are no C sharps or anything to suggest a D major key centre.
