McElvogue's No. 3
A sterling composition of Tom McElvogue, this setting is based on the fine playing of fiddler Andy Morrow. From the Tony O'Connell/Andy Morrow CD.

Tom McElvogue's No. 3
Slainte, thank you for pointing out Tom's website. I went there and heard a sound clip of him playing this tune on a boxwood concert D flute. Quite impressive! He has also posted mp3s of several other of his tunes there. Tom writes that the recordings were made by Tony O'Connell and Andy Morrow prior to recording their own CD. They were looking for tune ideas.

Tom McElvogue's: same name, different tune..
Niall Keegan has recoreded a jig in G major called Tom McElvogue's (it's on Acoustic World: Ireland and another compilation album) which is very different to this!
