The End Of Winter
A really addictive jig composed by Brian Pickell. On his recording the guitar plays bar 2 as |dcB AFD| but the fiddle and flute are as submitted. I first heard this played by Nancy Kerr and James Fagan, and didn't have a name for it until I found it by chance whilst browsing the net today. Their setting was as follows:
X: 1
T: End Of Winter, The
C: Brian Pickell
M: 6/8
L: 1/8
R: jig
S: Nancy Kerr & James Fagan
K: Dmaj

The recording of this jig from Brian's Fresh Canadian Fiddle Tunes album is actually one of the sound samples on his website, http://www.brianpickell.com/downloads/fcft_track04.mp3
Wonder if Nancy and James got it from Brian at Goderich (they were all there 2001 and 2002), or just took his album home with them?

N & J played the Silversmith after it so I suspect they took the album home and then brought the tunes to Oz with them in 2003.
