The Ballina Lasses
Paul Brock, writes in the sleeve notes of Mo Chairdin - "The Ballina Lasses comes from the playing of Paddy Killoran & his Pride of Erin Orchestra. Killoran, another of the legendary Sligo fiddlers, spent most of his life in the USA & recorded a series of solo and duet recordings. He also recorded with a number of bands including Killoran's Irish Entertainers; Paddy Killoran's Irish-American Serenaders."

What a magnificent tune. I had the first part of this tune ringing in my head for the past week or so and couldn't place where I heard it. Then I found while looking through my recordings, on Paul Brock's "Mo Cairdín" album. Great on the flute, and just a lovely melody in general.
