Tune Source
This tune originally came from the Chiff and Fipple Flute forum. The tune was later rewoked in order to provide a "flute friendly" version which is as follows:

I took the liberty of linking this tune to Lunasa's "The Kinnitty Sessions," as that is its most likely source. It's the first tune in Sean Smyth's fiddle solo.

Thanks for backing me up Bill. This is most like Sean Smyth's version.

Charlie's Strathspey
Since I was the one who posted the “abcs” to this in response to a request on “Chiff & Fipple”, let me put the matter straight. I commented on the tune as follows:
“This was taken from Sean Smyth’s playing on “Lunasa’s” “Kinnitty Sessions” recording, but it was first recorded played by Frankie Gavin on Charlie Lennon’s “Island Wedding” suite for traditional musicians and orchestra over 10 years ago. There are some slight differences between the 2 versions. On listening to both of them, in my opinion, Frankie Gavin plays it more as a strathspey than Sean Smyth, who seems to have smoothed it out a bit, and slowed it down, so that it sounds more like a hornpipe or slow reel. Tricky on flute or whistle, because of the rising “G#”s. The triplets are optional, and Sean Smyth has a link in the “return” of the first part which I just could not make out.”
