Myra's Jig
Written by Scottish box player Ian Lowthian. I picked up this tune when I first came to Sydney, and I used to hear the Scottish fiddle crowd playing it sometimes at venues like the Canberra Folk Festival. The first setting I had was slightly different in both parts and went like this:
X: 1
T: Myra's
M: 6/8
L: 1/8
R: jig
K: Amaj

If you're like me and don't like funky syncopations in tunes, you could do something like |efc e2f|afe cBA| for the start of the B-part.

I think this one is also on Rodney Miller's Airdance album. It's a great tune, I love it.

This tune works really well after Summer Lovin' (from the musical "Grease"), like we did at Folkworks. What do you think, Dow?

(Summer Lovin' in A, obviously...)
