The Jewels Of The Ocean
I got this off the Shannon et al album "Tunes". It is the first tune of track 3. I hope I am not infringing copyright as it has Allan MacDonald's name after it on the sleeve - possibly the composer.

There is a nice rendition of this on youtube at

Mike McGoldrick playing Low D, I think, with Frankie Gavin and Sharon Shannon. They go on to follow it with Lizzie In The Lowground.

Jewels of the Ocean
Yes it is indeed composed by the fantastic Allan MacDonald of Glenuig.
The tune can be found a wee bit into this song:

(and that is Allan on the backing vocals in the red shirt)

I'll wager Mike McGoldrick isn't playing a low D (in Bb), it would be as per the setting here on the low F if you want to play along.
