ABC transcribed from the sheet music in J. Murray Neil's book "The Scots Fiddle vol. 1, Tunes, Tales & Traditions of the North-East and Central Highlands", p.113. Slow Air, ABC should actually have a base time of 1/16 rather than 1/8...I'm going to edit it on here now since I didn't realize you have to modify tunes to a 1/8 setting.

This tune was composed by Sandy Ingram of Glamis and was published in his 2001 book of tunes "Strathmore Airs & Grace Notes" The original key is Eb.
I've just spoken with Sandy and he tells me that it was his first (of many) competition wins - judged by Ron Gonnella no less. He imagines that a manuscript copy somehow found it's way from the Elgin Strathspey & Reel Society into the hands of J. Murray Neil, who I'm sure will correctly attribute the tune in the next edition of his volume.
