Learnt this tune with Jimmy Devine from a Jackie Daly and Seamus Creagh CD, don't know what it's called though. First in a set of two slides, the second one I'll post when I can!

Jenny/Johnny ??
I think you might find the guy's name was Johnny Mickey, and the surname possibly Barry, if my memory serves.

I know this slide! One of the fiddlers in Tokyo often plays it in the session. He always play another one after, which might be the same tune Armand will post shortly.

Jenny who?
There are some definite problems with the notation on this 'other' duplication of the same tune, in this case called by another of its several names, 'Padraig O'Keefe's':

But, while I prefer your take on it musically, calling it Jenny Mickey's is OTT and not 'creative' or funny. The name was and is 'Johnny', 'Johnny Mickey', and another of its several names is 'Johnny Mickey's', never Jenny, except here...

I never meant it to be 'creative' or 'funny'. I suppose there was a miscommunication with the title when my fiddle teacher at the time learned it/taught it to me. It's not like this is the only tune to have its name changed because of a misunderstanding.
