Martin Hardiman's

Grainne Hambly claims that the title "Martin Hardiman's" originated from Joe Derrane's mentor Jerry O'Brien in her liner notes. She plays an interesting version of this in A minor:

Er, I mean, how I hear it played, slightly differently than what Gian Marco heard, apparently.

Joe Derrane's

Now, listen to their playing of the tune once again: http://www.rte.ie/radio1/thelatesession/rams/4july.ram (starts around 50:00) Who can convert such gorgeous playing into ABCs accurately?

Played powerfully by Conor Keane and Martin O'Malley.

Can anyone say what key it's played in here?

On "Fourmilehouse", Alan and John Kelly call this jig "The Hag's Purse." Tsk tsk...

Aka Hag's Purse

Hag's Purse - has that name on Catherine McEvoy's eponymous CD, also Custy's Leabhar Ceoil tune book.
