Mc Carthy's
This tune is not the McCarthy's known more commonly as the 'The man of the House', but was collected from piper Tom Matthews, from Summerhill, Co Meath, and it appears in Breandan Breathnach's 'Ceol Rince na hEireann' Book 4, No 181
It's the opening track on an album by Angelina Carberry and Martin Quinn (2003 Reeltrad Records, RTR 001) from which this tune is transcribed.

Mc Carthy's
I think the ABC file of the tune should be modified a little bit. But anyway, it's a great reel from a lovely duet recording. Thanks, Pete.

Mode and key
Ador and Dmix share the same scale, but the key is D and the mode is mixolydian.
Dmix is correct.
