BEWARE THE RECORDINGS - - -

It seems that if you give an alternate title like 'gan ainm' (without name), or anything shared by another tune, all the recordings jump onto the same page. Maybe this can be cured in the future. If I come across this on a recording I'll post it here, as I hope will anyone else...

You're right; it suddenly renders the recordings detail unusable when you put "gan ainm" as an alternative title. Maybe Jeremy can somehow make a warning there about that?

Ceolachan, please remember that you can edit the details of a tune you submit: so if you realise that adding Gan Ainm as an alternate tune name isn't very useful, you can just delete it again.

As the person who submitted the tune, it's your responsibility to keep the details all in order: just use the "edit these details" link under the "details" tab.

Thanks for all the fish - - -

I must have a problem with seeing those orangey letters that tell me how to solve my problems, with the likes of Gan Ainm. It is a shame really, as many of these tunes were learned as 'Gan Ainm', and later acquired a name, often just by virtue of who put them finally to disk.
I remember a friend, name unsaid, who when finally getting his great playing to disk, sadly no longer available, he was asked for names. Most of what he had was 'Gan Ainm'. They insisted, so he gave them all names. Later when doing concerts or playing out he had people requesting tunes and sets. He didn't have a clue what they were on about. The sins of his progeny, that moment of requested creativity in naming the unnamed had come back to haunt him.
All guidance and suggestions are much appreciated.
