CORRECTION: Key=A, not G
to whom this may concern:
G major ? I thinknot: A 'dorian' rather,
A at anyrate,
(a single # here reminds one that it's not all Major and minor in the world of (Irish) trad, not about what is written (which abides by alien classical rules) at all but about what one hears (which indeed is hard to define at times in some of the airs and tunes) and we should be in no doubt here:
I hear it say, clear and sweet!
(most probably in the dorian mode too though the complete lack of C in the melody could also point to the mixolydian mode).
and...er...
by the way, the only # could easily be done away with too here: F is only used in passing in this reel which gives it a nice anhemitonic pentatonic flavour , ¿no?
¡que aproveche!
(thanks for sharing this great tune!)
