Changing Key!!
This is in the key of "d" this version. If you listen to the "Flook Live" CD Brian plays it on a "A" Whistle. So he transposed the song. this song is blazing fast not for a beginner.
I REAPEAT THIS IS NOT FOR THE BEGINNER'S SECTION.

This is not a song. It is a tune.
Also a tune is not 'fast' or 'slow' - it's up to you how you interpret it.

What the flook is this?
This is not a tune - more a collection of notes.
DEFINITELY NOT FOR THE IRISH SECTION.

Isn't it Sarah Allen's composition? Yeah, it's definitely not an Irish tune. I think it's an imitation of traditional Bulgarian or Hungarian tunes.

I'm not so sure about Bulgarian... I have friends from Bulgaria, so I'd have to ask them, really. I wouldn't know the first thing about Hungarian music though.
I do wonder why Flook always plays tunes that are next to impossible for anyone else to play?...

Played in Eminor on an A flute or whistle (bamboo flute in the case of the CD) and played more like this... Great workout for any technical practice, but it's one of those novelty kind of tunes.
Personally, I love it, but I'd never expect anyone else to attempt to learn it or play it in sessions.

I'd be quite interested to see if somebody were to transcribe the "Epic Journey" tune after it, though. I'm not brave enough to try..
