Sonny Murray's
I love the surprise jump to the c-natural in the 1st part. Gets me every time.

Sonny is a great Clare concertina player now in his eighties. He was originally from West Clare but has lived in Ennis for many years. This tune is very much associated with Sonny and he always follows it with Home Ruler and Kitty's Wedding in that order.

Homebrew Hornpipe
Here's an mp3 of Micho Russell playing this on an Eb whistle. He leads into it with "Harvest Home".

Micho recorded this on John William's self-titled album, just as transcribed above.

This is called the "Groves of Slaney" on Finbarr Dwyer's "Pure Trad Music" album.

The Wicklow Hornpipe
The following version is after L.E. McCullogh, who, in his tin-whistle tutor, discusses various ways of ornamenting it - a recommended reading!

I fail to warm to this tune dispite its striking features. I don't feel guilty. Even since it's a hornpipe!
