I got this off Frankie and Mairead's 1st album. In the liner notes it says that they got it from James Byrne, who named it after two Leslie brothers who lived near him before he emigrated to America.

This makes a fine third tune of the set the first two tunes of which are Seaweed on the Yellow Cliff and Jimmy Lyons (both highlands).

I heard someone play Moneymusk http://www.thesession.org/tunes/display/1387 recently and realised that this could be just a version of that tune.

Okay this is annoying me! Everytime I click on a tune that says is Leslies reel, turns out to be Leslie's hornpipe. Any idea on who has recorded Leslie's REEL? I am looking for good tunes to go with Leslie's REEL.

"The Fermanagh 'Highland Fling'" ~ not 'reel'

Will's submission above wasn't as a 'reel', though it is in that section here on the database. 'Strathspey' would be the better choice for 'highland flings'. At the present they will be found in several categories ~ strathspey, reel, hornpipe, barndance... There was at one time at least one under 'jigs' too, and, do I remember finding one under 'waltzes', or was it 'mazurkas'.
