Also middle part of the Kilfenora reels set (after Connemara Stockings).

I think I play that set bannerman, does it also have the fourcourts in it and I think there are about 5 tunes in the set? I was taught the Set by fiddle player Nora NiRaillagh - (Micheal O'Railliagh's sister)

BB, this is a great set for the set dancers and the final tune is locally known as the Clougher (maybe it also goes under the name of the Four Courts). I thought it was on this site but couldn't find it so I've posted it up today. In Clare the three tunes, starting with the Connemara Stockings, are known as the Kilfenora Set and are definitely one of my favourite sets at any session.

The Kilfenora Set

I heard the set played in Corofin this year and remember it consists of 3 reels, the last of which is "Rip the Calico." Why still remember? Simply because that's the only tune I could recognise and play.

By the way, Peter Horan recorded this tune as Jackson's #2 after the Dublin Reel in D.
