This is pretty much Kevin Burke's version on If the Cap Fits. I just checked TheSession's list of recordings, and this tune has been ommitted from that list. It is spelled Caisle�n na n�r on the CD and is played before Bobby Casey's Hornpipe (track 7).
This is a Junior Crehan tune.

He, can we get the automatic misspell checker fixed? I thought I had typed the Irish name correctly (at least where capitalization is concerned, otherwise my Irish is rather rusty), but then I saw it with capitalization in all the wrong places. I tried to fix it, but it is automatically "corrected" on the details page. ;-)

My Gaelic is almost non-existent,but am I correct in believing that the title means "The Twisting Of The Rope"? David

Jocklet,
It just means "golden castle". I assume that the first word is a loan word from English and just adapted to the Irish spelling. The pronunciation is something like "cashlen" -> "castle". Literally, the Irish title means "castle of gold".

Heard a year before Junior Creahan passed away

I have heard this tune played by Junior Creahan himself and fellows (fiddle, concertina) in Miltown Malbay in 1994 at Cleary's (Quilty road). First of a set of three beautiful hornpipes :

Played as a reel, and as an air

This appears as a reel on East to Northeast by John Redmond (http://www.thesession.org/recordings/display/3834). The sleeve notes (which mistakenly credit P.J.Hayes as the composer) do say it's usually a hornpipe. Kevin Burke features on that recording too.
