Willie Hunter's Compliments to Dan R MacDonald
The late Shetland fiddle ace Willie Hunter wrote this strathspey for Cape Breton fiddler Dan R. who was one of his favourite composers. Not too fast!
This is another Shetland tune slainte. If you haven't heard it before, hope you feel you can add it to your tunebook. Goes really well after another of Willie's tunes 'Leaving Lerwick Harbour' - picking up the tempo. I'll post that provided Jeremy doesn't object.

Willie Hunter's etc
P.S. With all these triplets, this strathspey is designed to lead into a reel. Huge choice, but if you wanted to make up a Willie Hunter set you could try 'The Cape Breton Visit to Shetland' (already posted) or 'The Forgandenny Golfer' which he wrote for the Piano Accordion player Jimmy Blue, friend, golf partner, drinking companion etc.
