It seems odd that no comments have yet been posted on a tune so great as this. The first and third parts have great drive, while the second and fourth have that interlude between the driving sections that make the drive so much more noticable. The first messure of the third part sounds nice played like this:
|A2D ~D3 A2B GAB|
And the the first messures of the second and fourth parts (and other messures similar) sound good played as:
|dc 3(ABA GE c3 ABc|
Really a great tune played before a major keyed slide.

We put this together with Barrak Hill as a set. It seems to sound good.

Any relation to Julia?

I think this sounds better as a single jig than a slide. It might go nicely with a tune like Merrily Kissed The Quaker's Wife or something similar.

Hmm, I think I might have changed my mind. I really like this played as a slide. The drive in the phrasing seems to make the whole thing hang together nicely.

Around here this tune gets played as a two parter.

First time through the A part is as given here, but on repeat it is as shown in the 3rd part.
The B part is as given. (Note B&D are the same in the transcription).
I always play it as a slide, but some folks play it more like a jig.
Fine both ways I suppose, but better as a slide
