Kenny Gardens

I found this tune quite well-known in Leeds. Even kids know it. I can't trust my ears very much, but it seems to be called Kenny Gardens.

Try this set: Tobbin's Favourite/ K. Gardens/ Castletown Connors (Condon's Frolics) in Edor.

Correction

I've recently noticed this tune is actually called "The Kinnegad Jig" in Leeds, West Yorkshire. Not "Kenny Gardens." Sorry for my poor English. Actually, it seems this tune is usually known as "The Cat that Ate the Candle": http://thesession.org/tunes/display.php/1430

Hmmm, this is actually a triplicated post. Another version of the same tune is listed as "The Cow that Ate the Blanket": http://thesession.org/tunes/display.php/1994

Piper Tom Ennis (The Young Tom Ennis) recorded this, under this title, in 1924. His record began with someone announcing "This record was made exclusively for the Keltic Company!" That was how the label spelt its name, too. This was also recorded on cylinder by Patsy Touhey but the title he had for it isin't known.
