Source of tune
I got this tune from 'mrs. judge'- it's the second one the chieftains
play in Boil the Breakfast Early in that track. Strangely enough, I can't remember finding
any notes on the second tune in 'mrs. judge' from the CD- then again, I haven't looked at in
in a while, I'll have to dig it up.
I think there's also a third. I'll also try to post that.

O'Carolan
That's certainly a tune by O'Carolan - I think it is in fact called 'Mrs Judge'.

O'Carolan?
This sounds quite similar to Carolan's waltz:

which is recorded on the last track of the Lunasa album Otherworld:

Maybe these tunes are related.

Mrs. Judge
This is the last part of O'Carolan's Mrs. Judge. It starts in 4/4 but has this part in 6/8 at the end. The Chieftains play this in E minor on Boil the Breakfast Early. The entire piece looks something like this (in ABC notation):
X:1
T:Mrs. Judge
M:4/4

Mrs. Judge
I recall reading quite a while ago that O'Carolan wrote this in honor of his patron. When he was 18, he lost his sight due to smallpox. Mrs. Judge took him in and gave him room and board while he learned the harp.
