True Story
When I lived back in Derrymacash as a sprog, the local parish priest, Canon Pettitt, a man given to walking the roads in all weathers, often sported a fine dewdrop when the climes were less than merciful.
Although the little transparent dangling globule was evident to everyone else, he seemed blissfully unaware of its presence.
The strange thing was, that no matter how much time passed, said dewdrop would swell to its maximum size, but appeared never to reach sufficient mass "to disconnect".
