Casu
This version came from the woodenflute mailing list, I believe. Quite a fun jig. I've been intruiged with it ever since a night when, slightly drunk in the front row of a Lunasa concert, we decided that it must be a reel... which of course is completely ridiculous. Sean made a point of stating at the end that they had played a JIG set, so thanks man.
I think that was also the night we vowed to learn it on kazoos...

Munera Ju Casu
I learnt this tune from Lisardo, a fiddle player from the band Felpeyu (from Asturies, Spain) when they toured Australia. It's actually a Munera, which i believe is like the Asturian version of a jig. I had forgotten all about this tune untill i heard it on the lunasa CD 'the merrry sisters of fate'. When Lisado taught it to me there was a slightly different accent than is normally played in an irish jig but i've completely forgotten how to do it so have now resorted to the way Lunasa play it - which isn't so bad

It can be found in the "IV" cd of LLan de Cubel. Which is a great group from Asturies. Also the first tune is asturian air, taken of the same cd and group. It's more or less a jig (6/8)

Key
Original key is probably C - the figuring lends itself to asturian bagpipe fingering.
