The Rubber Man
Who wrote this Scottish pipe tune?
Please someone tell…
Perhaps fiddler Lynn Morrison or/& piper Annie Grace who recorded it with the band 'Iron Horse'?

Their recording is the source for my dots.
It is the first reel off a set of three (tempo=120!) which appears on the celtic ‘mix bag’: ‘Temps Interceltiques : Renouveau de la Musique Celtique’. (They botched the spelling: ‘Iron orse’ and fail to give much detail and credits for the tracks. -The CD is meant to promote the ‘celtic’ genre as a whole…)
Note that the score can’t do full justice to this melody: it is definitely enhanced by the drones and a crisp bowing style.

This is a rather 'horizontal' sounding reel (parts 2 to 4 are 'mere' rhythmical variations of the first part) but this feature helps create a sense of suspense and contrast with the next tune. (in our case 'The Furrowed Brow' which I’ll submit shortly)
Flute and whistle players mind those double c#'s!
