This is a tune that came out of a random noodle on my melodeon. I've not written a tune this way before, and am quite pleased with the results! It was, as the title suggests, written on the Summer Solstice, 2010. I've called it a polka, but it really is a French style bourée, albeit a syncopated one. Oh, and please be kind, it's my first stab at using abcs properly. Enjoy the tune.

are you sure this could qualify as a bourrée mandolinman? albeit a syncopated one? Mm..

There's a hint of 'God Rest Ye Merry, Gentlemen' in it as well.

FAQs ~ 2 self-composed tunes in a row and 2 out of a total of 5
Can I submit my own compositions?
Well... The Session isn't really intended for that. If you do post one of your own compositions, then you must do your "penance", so to speak, by balancing each original composition with about five trad tunes. ~ Jeremy, our webmaster, a simple and reasonable request.
If you've more of your own, great, but you might consider adding the ABCs, and the story behind your inspirations, in your details, as others have done, such as Reverend and Fiddlerdan ~
