Princess Gardens

This is another tune I've picked up from YouTube videos of Brian Finnegan. I don't know if he wrote it or not, but I think it's really pretty!

Here he is, playing it at learner speed: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8mE9khrYJ1s
(I know there is at least one video of him playing it at full tempo, but I came across it ages ago, and now I can't find it.)

I've been wanting to learn this tune for a long time now... There's a better quality video of Brian playing this tune on the Burwell Bash's facebook page.

Isn't that a hornpipe?

It's kind of hard to tell. I would say it's a reel that just can't ever be played straight. On the video on Facebook it's played faster than the one I put up, so it does sound more reel-like.

Also played much faster at the end of this clip:

He races through it on his album, but I quite like it slow as well.

It's a tune by Damian O'Kane. See him playing it here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vR6cT67qNuk&translated=1
