I learnt this from a friend who learnt it from Harry Bradley at Scoil Acla a few years back. I usually play it sandwiched between Julie Delaney's and The Providence.
There's another tune of the same name here (also called Thady Casey's Fancy) which is obviously related but I think there is a significant enough difference to warrant a new entry.

Duplicated or Not
IMHO there's no big difference between Harry Bradley's version and the more common version posted a few years ago: http://www.thesession.org/tunes/display/2663 I'd love to hear other people's opinions.

Those high E notes add a different flavour to the tune and I do think it deserves to stand out on its own. This version is more akin to the one recorded by Tom Morrison in the 20s.
